Diamond Recruiters is running this search for a European-headquartered manufacturer of industrial sensors, connectivity and factory-automation components with an established US sales organization.
Territories are open in the Southeast, Upper Midwest, Mountain West and parts of the Northeast. One hire per patch.
Who this is for
You can walk a production floor, work out why the sensing is failing, and close the fix. You know where sensing sits in a control architecture and you can hold a conversation with a controls engineer about it.
Territory ownership with real autonomy — and the quota that comes with it.
The work
- Own a defined territory of OEM and end-user accounts across factory automation, robotics and industrial connectivity
- Diagnose application requirements on site and turn them into product recommendations: sensing, connectivity, safety, control components
- Run the full cycle — prospecting, technical qualification, quoting, close — alongside regional applications engineering
- Build and hold the distributor relationships in your patch
- Forecast a pipeline in CRM that survives contact with a review meeting
What you need
- 3+ years technical sales in industrial automation, sensors or plant-floor control systems. PLCs, I/O, control architecture
- Engineering degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial) or hands-on equivalent
- One number you can defend in conversation — quota attainment, YoY growth, a named account win
- Home office inside your territory, 30 to 50 percent regional travel depending on the patch
- Self-directed. There is a product line and an applications team behind you. There is no script
Salary and travel
$80,000 to $105,000 base plus uncapped commission. OTE $115K–$120K Mountain West; $135K–$150K Northeast; mid-range Midwest and Southeast.
That range is our read on comparable US automation and sensor roles. We name the client’s actual band on the first call, before you spend a minute on an interview loop.
Field-based, home office in territory, with regular customer-site travel. This is outside sales, not a remote desk job.
