Automation line inside a modern production plant, lit in cool blue

Technical sales search · United States

The sales engineers who can read a plant floor — and close the fix.

Diamond Recruiters places technical sales talent with industrial manufacturers across automation, process instrumentation and flow control. We recruit inside one market, deeply, instead of every market thinly.

Every candidate conversation starts with the real salary band. No exceptions.

Who we work with

Two sides of the same market, and we are straight with both.

Most agencies treat candidates as inventory and clients as invoices. We do neither. The whole business depends on both sides trusting what we tell them.

How we are different

We name the band on the first call.

It is the single most common complaint we hear from sales engineers: four rounds of interviews, a plant visit, a presentation — and then a number that was never going to work. Everybody's time burned for nothing.

So we do it the other way round. You get the client, the territory and the actual band before you commit to anything. If it does not clear your bar, we say so and stop there. It costs us placements. It has also made us the call people take.

One market, not forty

Automation, instrumentation and flow control. We know what a DCS is, which EPC writes the spec, and why your last hire could not size a valve.

Nobody is a résumé wall

You get a short slate with a reason attached to each name, not twenty forwarded PDFs and a hope that one sticks.

Confidential by default

Nothing moves without your say-so. Your current employer never learns you spoke to us.

We answer the phone after

The relationship does not end at the signed offer. We check in through the first ninety days, both sides.

Markets

Where we recruit

Deep in a narrow band of industrial manufacturing — which is why our calls get returned.

01

Factory Automation

Sensors, machine vision, industrial connectivity, safety and control components.

02

Process Instrumentation

Flow, level, pressure and analytical measurement into refining and petrochem.

03

Flow Control & Valves

Control valves, isolation valves, actuation and the EPC project cycle.

04

Robotics & Motion

Industrial robotics, motion control, drives and the integrators around them.

05

Electrical & Power Distribution

Switchgear, power quality, industrial electrical distribution.

06

Systems Integration

Integrators and distribution partners who carry the line into the plant.

The search

How a search actually runs

No black box. You know what is happening at every stage, and so does the candidate.

  1. 01

    Scoping call

Territory, product line, control architecture, the real comp band. We ask what the last person in the seat got wrong, because that is usually the brief.

  2. 02

    Market map

We name the companies and the people inside them. You see the map before we approach anyone, so you know the search is grounded in your market and not a job board.

  3. 03

    Direct approach

Confidential outreach to people who are performing where they are. The strongest sales engineers are not applying to anything — they are being called.

  4. 04

    Technical qualification

We test the engineering, not just the resume. Every candidate arrives with one number they can defend and an application story that holds up.

  5. 05

    Shortlist and close

A slate you can act on, then we manage the offer, the counter-offer and the notice period. Most searches die at the counter-offer. Ours do not.

  6. 06

    First ninety days

We check in with both sides at 30, 60 and 90 days. A placement that leaves in month four was not a placement.

One market, not all of them
Automation, process instrumentation and flow control. A generalist agency has to be told what a control valve is before it can find someone who sells them.
The map before the approach
You see the named companies and people we intend to approach before we contact anyone. The search is grounded in your market, not a job board.
Pay ranges in the open
Every role we publish carries a base and OTE range. Candidates self-select honestly, and nobody reaches final stage to discover the band was never close.
Ninety days, not thirty
We stay in contact with both sides through the first ninety days. That is when a placement either sets or quietly comes apart.
